Pakistan Army’s Squash Star Ibrahim Mohib Departs for Australian Junior Open Championship.

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Army’s talented squash player, Ibrahim Mohib, has departed for Melbourne, Australia, to participate in the prestigious Australian Junior Squash Open 2025, scheduled to take place from April 13 to 17. The global event will feature top junior squash players from around the world, and Ibrahim Mohib will proudly represent Pakistan on this international stage.

Ibrahim Mohib is considered one of the most promising junior squash players in the country. He has previously showcased impressive performances in major international tournaments, including the Australian Junier Open, Scottish Open Junier Championship, Japan Junier Open and German Open. Once ranked No. 1 in Pakistan in the Under-17 category, he currently holds the No. 3 position in the national rankings for the Under-19 category. Known for his fitness, speed, and strategic understanding of the game, Ibrahim stands out as a distinguished player among his peers.

Speaking to the media before his departure, Ibrahim Mohib expressed his determination to make the country proud.

I will give my best to represent Pakistan in the Australian Junior Open and aim to return with a medal as a gift for the nation, he said.

He credited his success to the support of his coaches, the Pakistan Squash Federation, and the Pakistan Army, adding that he is committed to continuing his hard work to raise Pakistan’s flag on the global stage.

His coaches also shared their optimism, stating that players like Ibrahim Mohib are the future of Pakistan squash.

“His consistent performance is a matter of pride for the country, both nationally and internationally,” they said.
