PESHAWAR: For the seat of Director General of Sports Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, district sports officers from across the province have united and have decided to approach the court against limiting this post to PMS officers only,
for which the D. SOs have started collecting funds. After the amendments to be made in the year 2018, only PMS officers can come to this post, while the people associated with the sports sector for many decades are retired due to not passing the competitive examination and they are not appointed to the post of Director General.

There is an abuse with the officials associated with it that they have reached grades nineteen and twenty but they are not appointed as Director General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate even though it is a technical field and PM officers cannot do anything for six months due to lack of technical knowledge. Neither they are experts in the field of sports, therefore the amendment to be made in the service rules should be abolished. Accordingly, DSOs have also started collecting funds to get the services of a lawyer.
